Marconi Beach

In South Wellfleet take Route 6 to Marconi Beach Road and follow 2 miles to the large Cape Cod National Seashore parking lot. Marconi Beach is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore and is pristine and natural in all directions. The Marconi Area obtained its name from the famous Italian inventor, Marconi, who from here successfully completed the first transatlantic wireless communication between the U.S. and England in 1903. The facilities include lifeguards, full restrooms, stairs to the beach and outdoor showers. Daily seashore fee, National Seashore pass, day pass is required.
